04/01/14 The Conversation (1974)

Probably a flippin' superb film, it was made in the mid '70s in a rainbow of brown and beige, everyone wears a tie, Gene Hackman's in it, there's no explosions or dinosaurs and no one smiles - ticking many classic boxes.

However, we've both got colds at the moment and just couldn't get thoughty enough to enjoy this, so, er, dunno. Ask someone else who's seen it. Or request your own opinion if you've seen it yourself.

Probably loads or maybe none/10

Just call it the fucking 'iClunk' or some shit and morons will buy it in the millions.

Due to strange trade laws, there was only fifty-two cars in 1974. People had to share.

04/01/14 The Lost (2006)

Misfire of a film about some nutty bollock who looks like a Tesco Value George McFly. Anyway he kills a pair of women who are camping next to a wooden toilet. Blah, blah, blah. Four years later, shags a lot, beer cans in shoes, more murders, ends.

The film tries various different styles without settling on one, the acting ranges from very good to utterly awful, frequently in single actors.

Probably a good 75 minute film, shame that the makers ruin it by having it run for two hours instead.

04/01/14 Summer Of Fear (1978)

Half arsed TV movie where am evil child moves into her cousin's house and Linda Blair has hair you could lose a badger in.

Told you!

Anyway, it's directed by Wes Craven, so it's mostly shit. I really don't understand why his bilge is so highly thought of. Apparently the book for teens it was based on was better.

4.5/10

03/01/14 Carrie (2013)

Seen the orginal? Same as that but with mobile phones. Hopefully its intended audience of children will learn that they should be nice to each other.

03/01/14 You're Next (2011)

Finally got to see the film the horror children have been wanking over so furiously. Above average home invasion flick with some creative kills and a useful Australian.
