05/04/13 Strange Days (1995)

Ralph (pronounced fucking RALPH, you ponced-up cock) Fiennes plays Lenny Shiftyclam who's pretty much a Del-Boy Trotter tribute act, selling moody, plug-in brain-smut to desperate, sweaty people in a (barely) pre-millennial Los Angeles.

Also, this film was the first time Julliette Lewis showed the world that she sings much better than she acts. We saw her live at the Isle of Wight festival two years ago, she was frickin' ace, and her efforts on the soundtrack to this film are excellent. As is most of the music.

Directed by Kathryn Bigelow who I will always have a soft spot for as she wrote and directed Near Dark which is one of my favourite films ever as well as being THE best vampire film ever made. Also, I would let her use me for strange sex stuff.

Although her last few films have had a worryingly 'Fox News' world view.

That'll do.
