01/01/15 The Legend Of Hell House (1973)

Vintage Brit-spooker (based on a book set in America) about... Well, you can most likely work it out from the title.
It benefits from a surprisingly contemporary feel, certainly when held in comparison to other British films of that period, although some of the 'phenomena babble' is massive toilet by any era's standards.
Some parts are ripe for parody, the attacking kitten and sexy-time with a ghost in particular (both of which have been parodied in films, apparently) but otherwise a film that manages to retain a decent creep-vibe, Daddio.

"Seriously, Gerard! Must you spend every evening dressed as an antique chair?"

"The internet is sluggish! Feed it more coal!"

Actually very similar selection of titles in my chod-bin library.

Roddy McDowall's character reminded me of someone...

Aah, yes. That's him.

"Never mind all this Satanic hullabaloo, a stiff cup of tea will sort everything out."

New for the 2015 Amstrad home computing range.

Perkin.
