Dog Soldiers and The Descent are two of our favourite films ever. Then, well, it all went to wank, eh?
I cannot help but suspect that the greater the influence of studios, budgeteers (new word, so shut up) and profit-eyeing producers, the less able he was to shape the films as he truly wanted them. Either that or he couldn't be arsed.
Anyway, along with the Escape From New Scotland film and the one about the Romans, this can also go in the bin.
