17/07/19 One Cut Of The Dead (2017)

Japanese film about a low budget zombie film being made, the cast and crew then fall victim to a real zombie outbreak.

Which turns out to have been the intended film all along... we then see how the film was made and what disasters and improvisations took place to film it in one continuous shot, whilst the whole thing is being broadcast live as the opening event of a new horror channel.

If that was confusing, watch the film it all comes clear in the final third and it's pretty flippin' excellent.
Funny, fun, warm-hearted and, in a tediously overcrowded sub-genre, something genuinely unique.
